Nassau Trio Stole More Than $10,000 In Goods From Stores: Police

HEMPSTEAD, NY — Three Nassau County residents were arrested Monday afternoon and charged with stealing more than $10,000 in merchandise from two Long Island Marshall's stores, police said. According to police, detectives saw a car that was wanted in connection with multiple larcenies driving on Fulton Street in Hempstead at 1:45 p.m. on Monday. The detectives pulled the car over, and arrested the three without incident. Police arrested Rodney Galloway, 53, of Westbury; Michele Brown, 24, of Baldwin; and Willie White, 55, of Hempstead. According to police, on Jan. 5, 8, 10, 19, 22 and 31, the three stole merchandise from the Marshall's at 345 Rocakway Turnpike in North Lawrence. Police say, in all, they stole about $8,200 of merchandise from the store. Police say that, on Feb. 21, the three also stole $2,028 in merchandise from the Marshall's at 600 Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont. Galloway is charged with four counts of third-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Brown is charged with two counts of third-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree attempted grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. White is charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. All three were arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead earlier today.
