NAUGATUCK, CT — The borough is looking to buy the former Bank of America building in downtown Naugatuck, following a unanimous vote this month by the Board of Mayor and Burgesses.
The property, built in 1930, is located at 275 Church St., and has been appraised at $1,534,850. Its assessed value for tax purposes is $1,074,390, according to borough records.
On Feb. 9, the board voted for the borough to make an offer on the 1.13 acre property; the building measures about 10,200 square feet.
How much the borough will offer for the property has not been disclosed, nor have plans for it, reported My Citizen News.
Bank of America closed the branch last year.
