MERIDEN, CT — The Thompson Candy Co. is seeking a $500,000 manufacturing loan from the city to increase production and modernize operations at its South Vine Street location, according to The Meriden Record Journal. The company applied for a similar loan from the Meriden Manufacturing Assistance Program about 15 years ago. City officials said the company has "a good track record of making payments."
