SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests: On Feb. 16 at 2:43 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 27-year-old male of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Woodbridge, NJ in the amount of $1,500. He was unable to post bail for the involved warrant. Officers from the Woodbridge Police Department responded to Secaucus police headquarters to take custody of him and he was issued four motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of the Woodbridge Police Department. On Feb. 16 at 5:05 p.m while on patrol, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious individual located behind the China Chef restaurant located at 1285 Paterson Plank Road. During the investigation, the police arrested a 31-year-old male, Lovett Rodriguez of Jersey City for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Ocean County Sheriff's Office with no bail along with 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Hudson County Sheriff's Office with no bail. Rodriguez was also found to be involved in a shoplifting incident that had just occurred at the CVS located at 101 Plaza Centre Road. He was also charged with Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Rodriguez was issued his complaint warrant along with 2 summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. On Feb. 16 at 9:29 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a hold-up alarm coming from the McDonald's area. During the investigation, the police arrested a 31-year-old male, Ali Moazeb of Jersey City, NJ for Defiant Trespass [2C:18-3B] after he was previously told he was not allowed on the Walmart property. Moazeb was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody. On Feb. 17 at 7:49 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 33-year-old male of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union City, NJ in the amount of $198 and one outstanding warrant issued out of West New York, NJ in the amount of $100. He was able to post bail for the involved warrants, was issued two motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody. On Feb. 18 at 2:25 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to UPS located at 493 County Avenue on a report of an employee theft. During the investigation, the police arrested a 22-year-old man, Jeffrey Moreno of Wayne, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A]. It was further found that Moreno was involved in previous theft incidents at UPS and was charged with an additional two counts of theft [2C:20-3A] for incidents that took place on 02/04/2022 at 02/08/2022. Moreno was issued his complaint summonses and was released from police custody. On Feb. 19 at 1:16 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to Trolley Park located on Paterson Plank Road on a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, the police arrested a 22-year-old woman of Lyndhurst, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. She was issued her motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional motor vehicle summons and was released into the custody of a responsible adult. On Feb. 20 at 12:16 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 62-year-old male of Wayne, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Union, NJ with no bail along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Roselle, NJ in the amount of $350. Roselle released him on his own recognizance pending a future court date. He was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was subsequently transported to the Union Police Department. On Feb. 20 at 8:05 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 58-year-old female, Abida Parveen of Jersey City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)].
