Press release from the City and County of Broomfield: February 22, 2022 Broomfield crews are preparing for an Arctic cold front forecasted to bring very cold temperatures and prolonged snow to Broomfield. What you can do to prepare: Limit driving if you can, or pack an emergency car kit if you can't . Car Kit should include the following:  Coats, hats and gloves Blanket Windshield ice scraper and snow brush Flashlight and small tool kit Shovel and road salt/sand  Basic First aid kit Tow Chain or rope  Cell phone charger  Avoid parking on the street (especially in cul de sacs) to make way for plows  Prepare for potential power outages at home with extra blankets, batteries, etc.  Prepare your home for winter conditions by keeping your heat on to a minimum of 55 degrees, and dripping faucets if temperatures drop below 10 degrees.
