We are looking for our family’s new right-hand person! Mom works from home part-time to full time hours (depending on the season) and Dad works from home some of the time. Our 3 kiddos are in school most of the time -- the two oldest are in elementary school fulltime and our youngest is in preschool 4 days a week. We’ve reached a point in our careers where we need to fully focus during the day on work, and then be able to “leave” our offices and have the home and life management taken care of. Ideally this position will grow, but we ask for at least a 1 year commitment with the hours/schedule outlined and will honor that same commitment with our new hire if both parties are happy. We are a very easy going family but value anticipating needs, a figure-it-out attitude, self direction, independent thinking, trust and flexibility. About The Job We really need a jack/jill of all trades for 10-12 hours/week starting with... - Organizing different parts of the home - Meal planning + prep - Laundry - fold and put away - Prepare healthy lunches for Mom and Dad - Walk dog - Clean floors - sweep and mop hardwood floors - Dust + Pick up/straighten up - Chop vegetables + fruit for snacks - Making appointments - Declutter/Help Organize - Dishes + counters - Switching out seasonal clothing for the children - Handling Amazon returns - Errands (e.g. grocery shopping, taking items to Goodwill, shipping items, etc) Not everything on this list will need to be done during each visit, you can break up the larger tasks such as meal prep + laundry according to your schedule. Hours are flexible but need to be consistent unless notified, Monday / Thursday or Tuesday / Friday. We’d love a weekly date night if you want the hours. About You: We need someone that LOVES helping others and taking initiative. You take pride and joy in keeping the house looking decent + organized so it doesn’t stress Mom out (working from home, she sees the mess all the time and can’t work if it’s not taken care of). No job is too small, and you love to anticipate our family’s needs, and try to make sure we are always set up for success. We also need someone who is comfortable with working with me on meal planning, and prepping healthy meals. I have a lot of recipes and cookbooks with meals that we already love. For example, some favorite things my last family assistant surprised me with: - Noticed when my toiletries were running out and replaced them without my asking - Keeping favorite snacks, fruits and veggies prepped - Unpacked our suitcases when we got back from a trip + did all laundry - Organized the kids toys If this isn’t the kind of person you are or want to be for our family, then this isn’t the position for you. We LOVE and value our family assistants and treat them like family so we need someone that wants that kind of relationship, too. Pay & Perks - $22/hr with pay increase after 6 months - If you eventually move to more hours with us then we can talk about health insurance too! - Potential domestic + international travel included * If there’s interest, we can increase hours a little more and give you personal assistant tasks we currently have another virtual assistant doing such as booking appointments, travel, research, organizing activities for our kids etc. Not required though!
