WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Three youths were charged with disorderly conduct earlier this month in Western Springs, police said.
Charged were a 17-year-old boy from Western Springs and 16-year-old and 17-year-old boys from Westchester.
Police said the three were charged Feb. 3 with violating the village's ordinance on disorderly conduct. This followed an investigation into threats made against another youth, according to the police's media report.

A resident in the 800 block of 47th Street told police Thursday that her son bought more than $2,000 in gift cards with her Target credit card after being threatened by a female whom he friended on Snapchat. A resident in the 5200 block of Harvey Avenue told police Feb. 14 that she received many unwanted phone calls over the previous two weeks. A resident in the 4500 block of Woodland Avenue informed police Feb. 15 that someone attempted to open a fraudulent checking account using her personal information. A resident in the 4000 block of Johnson Avenue told police Feb. 16 that someone opened a fraudulent checking account using her personal information. A resident in the 4600 block of Lawn Avenue informed police Thursday that a fraudulent credit card was opened using his personal information. About $900 was charged on the account. The water fountain on the north side of the women's bathroom at Spring Rock Park was reported damaged Thursday. The upper and lower parts of the fountain were partially detached from the wall.
