JOLIET, IL — Joliet police say a woman was choked to the point of losing consciousness shortly before officers arrested to arrest Jesse Marinez, 41, in the 900 block of North Prairie Avenue on Sunday morning. The police call happened at 6:18 a.m. Marinez, who lives at the address, remains in the Will County Jail unable to post his $100,000 bail as he faces aggravated domestic battery charges. "Officers observed Marinez chasing an adult female from a residence," police spokesman Dwayne English announced. "Marinez threw the victim to the ground and began punching her." According to Joliet police, the officers intervened and put Marinez into custody.
