PHOENIX, AZ —Phoenix police announced Tuesday that an arrest has been made in connection with a Sunday hit-and-run that left a 2-year-old boy hospitalized.
Police said they arrested Davorah Jerrice Ross on Monday in the case, which stemmed from a collision at 19th Avenue and Glendale Avenue a day earlier.
The victim remains in stable condition at a local hospital, police said Monday.
According to police reports, just after 8:20 p.m., a vehicle allegedly ran a red light and struck the boy, who was riding in a stroller being pushed through a crosswalk by a family member.
The vehicle, which was reported as a gray Nissan, then left the scene of the collision.
The Phoenix Fire Department transported the child to a local hospital.
Though an arrest has been made, anyone with additional details about the incident is asked to contact the Phoenix Police Department or contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS/480-TESTIGO (Spanish) if they wish to remain anonymous.
