Sun Pacific Solar Electric is looking to hire a long term, Full-Time Experienced Electrician or Journeyman to join our solar installation team. Join our diverse, local team to work on challenging and rewarding solar projects. We design custom solar solutions for residential and light commercial customers. No two projects are alike: We have installed solar for the Santa Barbara Sea Center, off-grid customers in Hollister Ranch, homes in Montecito, farms in Santa Ynez and residential projects in Santa Barbara. Compensation: This is a full time, 40 hours per week, position eligible for 401k plans, health, vision and dental insurance (after 60 days of employment). We also provide company vehicles and fuel for work travel, and offer discounts on personal automobile insurance, phone plans and more. Our crews work a certified alternative work week consisting of four, 10-hour days, Monday to Thursday. Pay is dependent on experience. Overview: Electrician will work independently and as part of a team to complete a variety of solar installations, battery backup, motor controls, service work, circuitry, wire pulls, termination, layout, conduit bending, etc. These daily tasks will require the employee to furnish their own hand and cordless tools. Power tools and specialized equipment is provided. Solar knowledge is a plus but not essential. We will train you in solar. Electrician must have experience troubleshooting electrical systems, reading blueprints, have thorough understanding of the electrical code, and safety precautions. Requirements: Must work and communicate well with other employees, craftsmen, customers and suppliers. Must be comfortable working on roofs. Must have a clean driver’s license and pass a background check. Must have a valid CA C-10 license or 3-5 years of electrical experience.
