Private family with a 100+ acre farm is seeking a part time Farm and Properties Manager. Main property is located near Watkinsville GA. This position will be on Sundays as well as to fill-in when the full time Properties Manager is unavailable. Responsibilities FOR Farm and Properties Manager: Manage the operations of the horses, animals, pastures, buildings, landscaping, gardening, equipment and general upkeep. Assist and manage 2 off-site properties including: buildings, pastures, lawns, landscaping and fencing. Job requires knowledge and competency in: animal care, landscaping, pasture management, weed control, general maintenance and light carpentry. Skills needed include: knowledge, and experience in operating and maintaining farm machinery and landscaping equipment. (Bush hogging, manure spreading, weed eating, mowing, leaf blowing, hand weeding, and chainsaw work) Exercise common sense, good judgment, and consistency in day-to-day contact with animals, residents, guests, and in other farm-business-related matters. Formulate and manage all properties daily and/or routine care, regular/seasonal maintenance for properties plus machinery, and manage any repairs to machinery, buildings, fencing and equipment as needed.
