I am 54 years old “non-driver” looking for an electrical contractor that would be willing to pick me up/drop me off in the warren area that is looking for an experienced electrician in residential, commercial and light industrial. I have my own hand tools including cordless drill, Im having a hard time with my bills. Please read my experience below. Certification, 6/1/ 86, Lorain County Joint Vocational Center, Industrial Electricity The following is just a fraction of what was taught at the center. The study of electrical current and the ways it flows through various circuits. Intensive study on the multimeter and the application of troubleshooting techniques used on various circuits and electronic components. The study of individual electronic components such as resistors, transistors, inductors, diodes and integrated circuits and the effect it has on electrical energy in various circuits. Reading and drawing of blueprints and schematic diagrams and the identification of the individual components. The design and construction of single and multilayered printed circuit boards from foil pattern layout to the actual etching and drilling of the holes for the individual component placement. Soldering skills that includes wave soldering and safety precautions when dealing with heat and static sensitive components. Bending conduit, running romex, MC cable and the use of supporting hardware Electrical Services and Electrical Service Upgrades (Fuses and Circuit Breakers) and proper grounding ARC Fault Protection Separate Appliance Circuits: Furnace, Air Conditioners, Water Heaters, Dryers, Ranges, Microwaves Generators "Emergency" Trouble Shooting Ceiling Fans/Exhaust Fans/Attic Fans Devices and light fixtures (receptacles, switches, GFCI's) Ceiling Fans Smoke Detectors There is so much more that I know how to do, I just need the opportunity to use my skills to its fullest potential.
