Full-time Farm Worker (32-40 hours/week) to help us grow our organic farm. 5 days/week: Includes evenings and weekends. Preferred Skills include: Certified Organic vegetable production, poultry and livestock handling, excellent customer service, basic carpentry, mechanical, and chainsaw experience. Successful candidates will have the ability to work independently, think on one's feet, and troubleshoot problems. Must be comfortable working outside in weather. Job includes: Milking goats, care and pasture rotation of chickens and goats; vegetable production, processing, and harvest; guiding guests through a fun and informative agritourism experience, operating heavy equipment and implements; fencing; heavy, repetitive physical labor including ability to lift 60#. Work also may include forest/wetland restoration, working with guests and volunteers, cemetery work, and landscape maintenance. Opportunities exist for participatory leadership and training in diverse agricultural and agritourism enterprises. Reliable transportation, positive attitude, neat appearance, and people skills are required. Drug, Alcohol, and Smoke-Free Workplace. NO calls.
