The Room Attendant position requires candidate to performs tasks of organizing and readying our guest rooms, bathrooms and public areas for guests and local enthusiasts. They are undeniably committed to providing guests with a positive stay by ensuring that their guest rooms are safe, clean and comfortable. A successful room attendant will be mindful of their contributing to an overall clean and positive atmosphere in the hotel. A room attendant should also be able to display a polite, helpful and available demeanor towards guests, always providing assistance or information as necessary. The Most Successful candidates have displayed interests in: History Art Place-making Organizing Systems & Efficiency Design Thinking Daily Duties include: - Cleaning and servicing all guest rooms, removing soiled terry, linen and trash, all while following hotel standards for said tasks. -Setting up rooms following Standard Operating Procedures and according to management and/or guest requests. -Cleaning public areas and heart of house areas, as needed. -Keeping housekeeping closets and office areas well organized and free of clutter. -Use amenities and cleaning products in a deliberate, controlled and safe way. -Assist guests with any requests. -Respect guest privacy and security at all times. A successful candidate applying for this position will have and display a friendly and proactive attitude. Room attendants must be great team players, committed to the safety, security and comfort of all guests and hotel patrons. Preferred Skills include: -Must be able to communicate and interact with staff and management. The tone must always be positive, courteous, always genuine to provide service and assistance. -Previous housekeeping experience is desirable. -Must be able to perform well while working with little to no supervision. -Work hours will be spread over weekdays, holidays and weekends. A candidate must show flexibility in availability. -Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. Must be able to stand walk, climb stairs and work on the candidates feet for extended periods of time. Requires grasping, reading writing, extended periods of standing, walking, repetitive motions, hearing and visual acuity. -Strongly committed to complying and following safety, security and privacy regulations.
