Press release from the City of Hopkins: August 14, 2020 Regular testing conducted at Shady Oak Lake has indicated unsafe levels of E. coli bacteria in the water. As a result, and as a precautionary measure, the lake is closed for swimming at least through the weekend and until further testing indicates the water is safe. The playground and beach remain open.
