Gem State Staffing-Caldwell is now accepting applicants for a Plant Support – Shift Lead position at Simplot located in Caldwell, ID. This full-time position is responsible for a crew of employees assigned to work in Plant Support at Idaho’s most famous potato company. Job Description Shift Lead is responsible to the Shift Manager for the management, training and assignment duties of the Plant Support team. Each shift, the Shift Lead will receive instructions from the Shift Manager regarding shift priorities of work and tasks that the Plant Support Crew will be assigned to complete. Shift Leads will direct crew on plant processes and work area rotation, break schedules and training of new hires. Requirements • 1-2 years of crew lead experience • 1-2 years of training experience • 1-2 years of food production/processing experience • 1-2 years manufacturing or production experience • Ability to work full-time night shift schedule • Consistent work history • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background investigation • Ideal candidate is bilingual English/Spanish (not required) Details Full-time, Night Shift – 6pm-6am Scheduled shifts work like this: two nights on, two nights off…then three nights on, two nights off repeating. One week you end up with three scheduled work nights, the next week you end up with four.
