Rivendale Farms is a diversified farm in Bulger PA covering 400 acres which includes fruit and vegetable production, honeybees, pasture-raised laying hens and Scottish highland cattle. We are looking for a full-time Grounds Maintenance Manager to report to our General Manager Responsibilities include, but not limited to: · Plan and schedule work in accordance with seasonal needs and current weather conditions to assure that established standards for appearance, cleanliness, and safety are attained on a daily basis. · Maintaining safe farm access at all times including (but not limited to) plowing/salting, repairing damage from erosion on main access to farm, and all internal farm roads · Farm landscaping and property maintenance - General mowing, weed management, brush removal, mulching landscape beds · Trimming trees, hedges and shrubs · Farm equipment inventory management, maintenance and repairs · Other duties as required by General Manager Requirements: Experience with farm machinery including driving a tractor and experience with diesel mechanics and welding preferred. Experience using chain saw and split wood. Willingness to work with farm animals as needed including chickens, bees and Scottish highland cattle. Must possess a valid drivers license, pass a background check, pleasant, honest, reliable, self-motivated, team worker with an ability to follow policies and work details. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to work in all weather conditions and work on a ladder as needed.
