Are you looking to improve your child's reading level or treat them to an online, interactive story time? I am an experienced online Educator. I create virtual class rooms that your child looks forward to exploring and learning in. In each class your child will have a personal Avatar that they will use to navigate through multiple colorful class rooms. They can choose to study alone or in a group and will be able to draw, type, read and respond to me as the class room teacher guiding each class. My classes are designed to improve reading and reading comprehension, self-confidence and a love for learning. I can host up to 3 children in each 30 minute virtual session along with up to 3 parent observers. Parents can observe class on the same computer as their child or log in from a different PC or laptop Ages: 6-10, exceptions for younger students can be made if they are joined by an older sibling or parent. Happy to also teach students outside of this age range if they are learning English as a second language or diagnosed with a learning disability or developmental disorder. Rates: $12.00 for private class $10.00 per student for groups of two $8.00 per student for groups of three Please keep in mind that group sessions work best when students are close in age. Perfect for arranging affordable shared story times or class time with siblings, friends, class mates and cousins! Credentials: I have a Bachelors degree in Sociology and graduate studies in counseling. I have enjoyed working with children as a crisis counselor, program manager, educator, mentor and tutor. I've worked with public schools in Idaho and Texas as well as government and non-profit agencies that help at-risk children and children with disabilities. More recently I have worked with children in other countries who are learning English as a second language. I look forward to meeting you and your child! Note: Photos are an example of a class room I designed for a 7 year old girl. I create many different themed classrooms and can often customize the look of your child's class based on their interests and hobbies. Class content is also prepared with advanced input and consultation with parents.
