Let me guess, you’re still upset over that single episode of Arthur where the teacher got married? And you kept posting about it several months ago? Because you have no life?
I grew up watching a lot, and I mean a lot of PBS. When I was growing up in the 90s, we didn’t have cable. Being that my mom enjoyed watching a lot of educational shows, I would watch home shows, cooking shows, shows about architecture. You name it, I would watch it with her. Getting ready for school I would watch kids shows like Shining Time Station, Lamb Chop, and of course the venerable Sesame Street.
I credit PBS for helping foster a lot of my interests growing up, like my interest in cars. I would watch MotorWeek a lot.
I would watch the WTTW specials with Geoffrey Baer because I was and still am interested in a lot of Chicago architecture.
Just recently I found some old episodes of the joy of painting with my wife.
Sure, they have a lot of liberal overtones but if you can get past it, PBS has a lot of great educational programming.
