NIGHTS, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS REQUIRED. To apply, go to: POSITION SUMMARY: Perform custodial duties throughout the campus facilities. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Love for God: Personal, vibrant and loving relationship with Jesus Christ. Relationally Astute: Discernment in handling sensitive issues, managing conflict biblically and maintaining confidentiality. Communication: Demonstration of high emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Clean portions of the church campus - three large buildings and two small buildings, plus six vehicles, on a schedule as part of a team. Respond to housekeeping calls throughout the church and grounds when requested to do so. Track room set-up requests and make sure they are fulfilled, and set up for church and community events: set furniture, stanchions, waste receptacles, floor mats. Learn and apply OSHA standards with regards to safety: Personal Protective Equipment, blood-borne pathogens, fall protection, walking/working surfaces, ergonomics, SDS and fire prevention. Use tools, equipment, materials and chemicals safely and efficiently according to manufacturer’s instructions/SDS requirements. Keep dispensers filled and operating properly. Maintain cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area. Perform additional duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: EXPERIENCE: Previous Commercial Housekeeping Experience at a large facility is preferred, but not required. Reliable transportation to and from work. Willing to work a regular weekly schedule, with occasional flexibility for events. Detailed, solid housekeeping skills and love for cleaning! PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS: Working outside occasionally, doing regular physical duties, and routinely bending, lifting, and pushing/pulling objects without assistance. Lifting/Carrying: Lift up to 50 pounds. Walking/Standing: Physically demanding work for the majority of shift. Handling: Constant use of hands to seize, grasp, turn or hold objects for detailed cleaning. Vision: See well (near/far acuity; depth perception).
