Truck Driver - Dump & Regular

Description

The truck driver will be responsible for driving the truck equipped with a dump body to transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, etc. The driver will also drive trucks without a dump body, including trucks with trailer attached to haul equipment. The driver will pick up product from vendors and deliver to company project sites. He/she will ensure that all materials and/or equipment loaded are correct materials for the project, loaded safely for travel, and are delivered in a timely manner. Responsible for all related paperwork to be returned to the office, properly signed, and organized. The driver will assist with ensuring vehicles are clean and fueled. Assists with cleanout of vehicles when returning to warehouse. He/she also daily inspects the vehicles for possible operating issues and immediately notifies fleet supervisor/management if any issues are found. The driver will be required to inspect truck/truck equipment and supplies such as fluids, tires, lights, brakes, gas, and perform pre and post trip inspections. He/she reports any accidents promptly to the Operations Manager and complies with company policies and procedures as well as all state-enforced safety and driving rules and regulations. -Loading and unloading materials and equipment from the trucks in order to prepare for jobs. -Clean, fuel, and maintain trucks that are at the yard. -Must be able to lift (min 50 Pounds) -Transportation of materials from warehouse and/or vendors to job sites. -Responsible for all related paperwork for deliveries and pickups. -Must always maintain a clean driving record. Qualifications • Clean Driving Record MVR(Required) • Valid CDL A (Required) • High school or equivalent (Preferred) • Driving: 3 years (Required) • Minimum 18 years old Requirements: Possesses the requisite driving skills. Possesses good organizational and time management skills. Maintains a professional attitude and demeanor in all aspects of the job. Maintains a positive, professional relationship externally with vendors and internally with management and staff and is a "team" player. Performs tasks assigned in the most diligent, efficient, energetic, and timely manner. Follows Company protocols and is aware of required internal controls. Demonstrates a willingness to learn new ways to perform functions more effectively. Has strong analytical skills to understand issues while making timely, practical decisions. Possesses strong oral and written communications skills. Maintains a strong attention to detail. Is punctual on all aspects of the job
