"Howling Hearts of Echo Park" New Poetry reading Event with Open Mic for Spoken work, original musical performance etc. We have an outdoor venue with a large space for the stage and seating for 10 or more. This is at a residence, ground floor, very cozy atmosphere. We could call it a speakeasy. BYOB or we'll pour up something for you. The event is free. I'm asking for people to register with their vitals, full name, age, type of performance and a copy of the musical score, lyrics, prose, poems : whatever you are going to present at our weekly Venue. If you need props, I may be able to help. I have a peavy amp. if you want to bring some sound equipment or an extra mic. ok. I'm also looking for a volunteer or two to help finish the set up arrangements. Putting up drapes, finishing the wooden stage with a coat of stain, backdrop ideas, making the space clear of some clutter. just general assistance is needed. I'm going to have themed events from time to time, such as LGBT nite, spiritual works nite, comedy nite, costume party, and maybe some thinktank sessions for those with ideas they would like to explore via this performance opportunity.
