Contra Dance March 5, 2022 Beginner lesson 7:00 pm Dance 7:30 pm – 10:30 pm Tickets : $10.00 single, $8.00 student, $25 family Location: Jonesborough Visitor Center 117 Boone St, Jonesborough, Tennessee Contra dancing is social interaction, meeting people, and making new friends, set to music. The rest is just details. No partner is needed as it is tradition to change partners for each dance. Contra dances are family friendly, alcohol, tobacco, and fragrance free events. Bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothes. Contra dance is an energetic form of dance for all ages. Contra dance is similar to square dance but is done in long lines rather than four couple squares. A beginners lesson is held prior to each dance where the basic moves are taught. The caller calls out the moves during each dance. Come out and join us for fun, exercise, and social interaction. Covid policy : Proof of Covid vaccination required at the door or self supplied negative Covid test taken at the door.
