Description
Olaf is almost 2 years old. He weighs around 25 lbs, and is not fixed.
The good: Olaf is brilliant! He is playful, and loves games and puzzles, and destroying squeaky toys.
Olaf is loyal, and sweet. He loves snuggling, and makes eye contact like he understands exactly what you're saying.
He has been raised with cats, kids, and other dogs, and never shown aggressive tendencies with them, though he is a little more playful with the cats than they'd like!
He is 100% housebroken and crate trained.
The not-so-good: Olaf is an escape artist. He enjoys the challenge of a fenced in backyard, as one of his puzzles to escape. He doesn't run away, he just is very difficult to keep in the yard!
If left at home not in the crate, he will chew everything out of boredom. This is easily mitigated, as he loves his crate.
Lastly, the reason we are rehoming, Olaf is VERY stranger aggressive. With his pack he isn't the tiniest bit aggressive, but it is the opposite if a person is not one of his pack. He was well socialized as a pup, as we have many kids and their friends and families are frequently at our home. As he gets older we cannot let him free when new/ish people are around as he will growl, and most recently, lunge as if to bite. He tried to nip our neighbor, and we live in a small HOA community where this is understandably not acceptable, so we must very sadly find him a new home. Since he is an escape artist. the problem is exacerbated.
He hasn't bit anyone yet, and we want to have him be in a home that will better suit his needs before the situation is worse, and are trying to avoid him going to a shelter.
Thanks for your time!
