Our projects include private residential/commercial land development, heavy civil/vertical construction, public design, and utility engineering. Candidates for Survey Party Chief should possess the following skills and qualities: · Experience in performing the following types of surveys: · Boundary Surveys · Topographic Surveys · Specific Purpose – Route and Utility Surveys · Construction Layout · As-built Surveys · General knowledge and understanding of the Florida Standards of Practice for Surveying and ALTA/NSPS Standards. · General computer skills including correspondence through email, text, or collaborative software, data entry, and uploading/downloading field data and notes. · Ability to operate and maintain surveying instrumentation including levels, total stations, and GPS. · Ability to take thorough field notes and record any observations made during the performance of a survey. · Ability to effectively communicate with staff and management and work well in a group environment. General Requirements for all field personnel include the following: · 3 years of experience as Crew Chief · Valid Florida Driver’s License · CST Certification within 6 months of hire: Survey Crew Chiefs – Level 3; Instrument Person – Level 2; Entry Level Survey Technician – Level 1. · Safety Certifications: Temporary Traffic Control (TTC); Fall Protection Awareness; Confined Space Entry. L & S Diversified is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug Free Workplace. Work Hours Monday through Friday from 7 am to 4 pm. Overtime and weekend work available based on daily needs. Benefits · Company Vehicle. You are allowed to take the vehicle home after 90 days probation period. · Phone plan reimbursement capped at $45/month. · 10 days PTO a year. After the 5th year employee accrues 1 more day of PTO each year. · 8 paid Holidays · Company Group Health Insurance, company contributes 50% of employee’s monthly premium and 25% for any dependents. Employees are eligible after 90 days. · Employer paid vision, dental, short-term, long-term and life insurance is also offered. Employees are eligible after 90 days. · Gym membership capped at $39 a month. · 401K/ROTH accounts with matching company contribution. Employees are eligible after the 1st year of employment. · Paid training as well as any certifications that might be needed for the position. · Great environment and fun atmosphere, company provides weekly lunches/breakfast for all staff. · Company is in expansion mode, so the possibilities for growth within the company are endless.
