Wanted: Fabrication Assistant for Sculptor working on large-scale sculptures in stone and steel. The ideal applicant will have experience in: * sculpture fabrication * construction work * stone work * welding and cutting metal You don't have to have all the above experience, but be willing to learn new tools and methods of work including working with stone, steel, and wood on a large scale. I don’t expect everyone to be knowledgeable in all areas; there will be a learning process on the job. Must be: * able to work independently sometimes and complete tasks without supervision, as well as follow directions and work collaboratively. * safety conscious. * punctual and reliable; organized * able to perform heavy work (sometimes outdoors). * must be able to travel a couple times a year (for up to two weeks) to assist installation of work on site (outdoors and gallery exhibitions). Job Types: Full-time (9 am-5 pm Mon-Fri), or Part-time (4 days). Compensation: based on experience, $23 -$25/hour, increased with time.
