Description

Works of: Beethoven, Massenet, Arensky, Cassado, Piazzolla Margery Aumann began her musical studies with her mother, a talented pianist. Among many piano teachers in her school years, Margery would like to highlight one who first awakened a fervent love of music, Sr. Ste Hilaire, choral director at a small school in Gorham, New Hampshire. Since those years, Margery has given solo and chamber music concerts in several states. After many years teaching the piano in Bedford, MA, Margery moved to Dover-Foxcroft with her husband Herbert in 2010. Ruth Fogg started playing the cello at the age of nine. She was soon accepted into the Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra and studied with BSO cellist, Mischa Nieland. After several years at the Boston University School of Fine Arts, Ruth switched gears and entered the military. She has kept her passion for playing the cello throughout her varied careers in engineering. Ruth has performed as substitute cellist for the Bangor Symphony, and currently plays with North Country Strings. Susan Ramsey made her first public violin performance at the age of seven. By the time she was fifteen, Susan was playing professionally with the Erie Philharmonic Orchestra. In 1986, Susan earned her degree in Music Performance at Smith College, and since then has performed chamber music for many years. Susan also performs with Maine singer/songwriter David Mallett, and composes and arranges music for North Country Strings, an acoustic folk ensemble. She runs a private studio at Central Hall in Dover-Foxcroft and directs the Foxcroft Academy String Program. After spending years imagining how we might best serve our friends and neighbors in Piscataquis County and points beyond, we envision a community where all voices are heard, and people of all generations feel safe, valued, included and cared about. Central Hall Commons is committed to honoring the values of Courage, Inclusion, Healthy Aging, Inspiration, Interconnectedness, Place and History, Cooperation and Respect as they guide our program development and mission delivery. We hope you’ll join us!
