We will honor current and retired black educators who educated and impacted many young black people in Dorchester County, MD.
The evening includes Live Band, DJ, Silent Auction, Catered dinner, cash bar, spoken word and more.

Honorees are: Emma and Charles Pinkett, Vaughn Evans, Dr. Theresa Stafford, Lorraine Henry, Rev. Linda Jones, Robert Brummell, Robert Batson Faye Evans Stanley, Dr. Gwen Handy, Greg Meekins, LeOtha N. and Jackie Hull, Mary Thompson, Barbara Thompson and Melvin Young.
Also, there will be a special presentation to honor educators who are no longer with us.
Groove City Black Heritage & Culture Group is a nonprofit organization. This is our annual fundraiser to support FREE programs for youth and families in the community. Our mission is to execute programs and events to educate, unite and rejuvenate the historical essence of African American art and cultural experience and celebration in Cambridge, MD.
Programs include art and mentorship programs, basketball tournament, African dance and drum program. Events include: Groove City Culture Fest and Christmas on Pine.
