A family-friendly worship service to begin the season that invites us to prepare for Easter Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, the 40 day period (not including Sundays) leading up to Easter. At 7pm we will gather in the sancturary for an Intergenerational Ash Wednesday Service at Stanardsville United Methodist Church.We will have a 45-minute service, which will include a time to come forward to recieve ashes on your hand or forehead in the sign of the cross. We will also sing, hear a message, and share in communion. This service is designed to be welcoming and accessible to all ages, especially children.
