Wheelchair tennis clinics - 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month 11:00-1:00pm. No experience necessary. Rackets & sport chairs available. GRETA has partnered with Wheel Serve NC, a statewide non-profit, and Greensboro Parks & Recreation, High Point Parks & Recreation and Kernersville Parks & Recreation, to help grow wheelchair tennis in our community. The mission of Wheel Serve NC and this satellite program is to expose individuals with all levels of physical disability to the sport of tennis. Improving a person’s overall well-being while instilling confidence in one’s capabilities through participation in wheelchair tennis. Wheelchair tennis follows the same rules as able bodied tennis, except a wheelchair athlete can let the ball bounce twice. We seek to grow tennis through league development, school programs, public programs, special events and capital projects. Further GRETA will financially support community projects that either promote the sport or provide opportunity for under-served communities.
