An open parent education session on how to talk with your middle school child about vaping, smoking, drinking and drug use.
It is during the middle school years that many young people first encounter chances to try vaping, cigarettes, marijuana, alcohol and other drugs with their peers in an unsupervised environment.
And during middle school is the time to have conversations with our children about the nature of these substances and the dangers they pose. Young people need a playbook for making good decisions and responding to peers in these important moments.
Join us for an important discussion on how to talk about these subjects with your children, strengthen their ability to make positive choices when confronted with substances, and identify when and where to get help.
This event will be held in person in the SJMS Staff Lounge, as well as on Zoom. Must RSVP.
Presented by San Jose Middle School PTA and North Marin Community Services. Open to the community.
