Omnium Outdoors Hiking Series: The Blue Hills Skyline Trail Loop

Join us for the first Adventure Club outing of 2022! This entry-level hike will be led by two of our professional hiking guides and will consist of a moderate 5.4-mile loop, hitting two peaks with 692 feet of ascent. Our pace will be between 2 and 3 mph with multiple recovery stops. This event will take about 3 hours. All proceeds from this event go toward helping those living with a mental illness. This event is free to members of the Omnium Outdoors Adventure Club. This event is pre-registration only. Start time is 10:00am on Sunday, March 13th, 2022. Check-in will be open from 9:30-9:55am, located at the trail head on the southern end of the parking area. Please bring your own food and water for the day along with proper footwear and clothing for the weather. Omnium Outdoors will be providing the service of guiding our hikers through the loop as well as any assistance a hiker may need including first aid, technical questions, or even motivation. Blue Hills Reservation does not require a parking fee. The park is open daily from 6:30am to 7pm. Address for event: 651 Willard St, Quincy, MA 02169 (This is the address for Shea Ice Rink, whose parking lot we will be using) Amenities: There is no restroom provided by the park at this trailhead, but the parking lot is immediately adjacent to the Shea Ice Rink, which will be open from 7am onwards the day of the event. We do advise that you bring your own food and water for during the event, but a nearby restaurant we recommend for after the hike is 110 Grill, located at 170 Forbes Rd, Braintree, MA 02184.
