At Veritable Vegetable (VV), our Staff Members work as a team to receive, warehouse and ship fresh organic produce in a safe, accurate and timely manner while maintaining high quality standards with minimal product loss. The position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and takes direction from Warehouse Team Leads. Why choose VV? Schedule Shifts run 6am - 2:30pm (5am- 1:30pm Saturdays) Paid 30 minute meal breaks Tuesday/Wednesday OFF Responsibilities Pull customer orders in an accurate, timely and safe manner Complete pick slips accurately and neatly Build safe and sturdy pallets and load product to meet truck completion deadlines Understand and comply with VV's safety policies, procedures and best practices and encourage co-workers to do the same Provide accurate accounting of received product Be familiar with storage requirements, product sensitivity and handling needs Stock incoming product, rotating new stock into old, and dating lots Maintain warehouse in a green, clean and orderly condition Report equipment and facilities issues Operate material handling equipment in a safe manner Report product quality issues to leadership Attend and participate in Warehouse crew meetings Participate as required in other tasks to ensure achievement of warehouse department goals Qualifications At least 2 years of full time work experience High school diploma or GED Only fully vaccinated candidates will be considered Physical Requirements Must be able to consistently lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance Must be able to lift 50 -- 70 lbs. with assistance Must be able to stand, walk, bend, twist and perform a variety of other physical functions on a consistent basis Must be able to walk and stand on concrete floors for prolonged periods of time Must be able to follow safety procedures (i.e., proper lifting techniques) Must be able to work in varying environments including the ability to withstand cold temperatures with proper protective clothing for long periods of time Benefits Health, dental, and life insurance for yourself and a spouse or domestic partner Employee Assistance Programs for counseling at low, or no cost 401(k) plan in socially responsible mutual funds Referral bonuses Flexible holiday and leave policies Infant support benefits Commuter reimbursement Credit for four massages per year Boot allowance for drivers and warehouse workers Section 125 pre-tax Cafeteria plan Free organic meals and snacks Access to fresh, organic juices Worker Food Program enabling you to bring home produce Incentives for voting in elections Extensive in-house training program Ready to join our team?
