So Biden is going to impose sanctions on Russia. I wonder are we still going to get oil from Russia? Could Russia have its own sanctions on the US. I think China would be more than happy to get more Russian oil. Biden has been pleading with OPEC to produce more oil.
Here’s a flashing neon sign that U.S. energy policy has gone terribly, terribly wrong. Throughout 2021, the U.S. has imported 12 million to 26 million barrels of crude oil and petroleum products per month from Russia — that same country we keep enacting new sanctions on, in an effort to deter Vladimir Putin’s territorial ambitions. The most recent month from the Energy Information Agency’s figures is November 2021, at 17.8 million barrels. Last spring, imports of Russian oil hit the highest level in a decade; in August, Russia became the second-highest exporter of oil to the United States. Think that might be a reason Putin feels so confident?
And judging from yesterday’s White House press briefing… if the administration has any solid plans to stop importing Russian oil, they’re being awfully quiet about them. Currently oil is 93.00 per barrel and it could easily hit 150.00 per barrel by this summer. Are you ready to pay up to $6 bucks per gallon for gas. Now arn't you glad that you voted for Biden? Lets Go Brandon!
Central European countries on Ukraine’s western border are making preparations for a potential influx of millions of refugees in the event of a major Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Poland in particular is bracing for various scenarios if Moscow invades Ukraine, according to its deputy interior minister, Maciej Wąsik. “We have to be prepared for a wave of up to a million people,” he told Polish radio.
