Live entertainment, a buffet, & fun! Join us as we raise money for college scholarships for community youth and celebrate Dr. King's legacy! Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a catalyst for international change and progression. One of the most important things he impressed upon society was the need to support and prepare our future leaders. Join us in service and fun as we celebrate the legacy of our dear Brother Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and raise money to provide college scholarships for youth in the Brevard County community! Your support has helped us give over $80,000 in college scholarships over the years! With LIVE entertainment, a DJ, a buffet, drinks for purchase, and plenty of time and space for dancing it guaranteed to be a good time! Doors open at 6:30pm. Open seating. Celebration starts at 7:06pm and Dinner at 7:30. Come party with a purpose at the I AM KING Scholarship Benefit Ball! Formal attire strongly encouraged. Event is 21+ ONLY. COVID PRECAUTIONS: Guests will be able to sit at tables of 6 people in order to better distance Masks are not required but are HIGHLY suggested. There will be some available at the event if needed.Hand sanitizer will be available.All servers will have gloves and masks and the food will be covered.These precautions will be updated as more details come out about the progress of the pandemic. Founded on December 4, 1906 at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is the first Black, inter-collegiate Greek-lettered fraternity. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. develops leaders, promotes brotherhood and academic excellence while providing service and advocacy for our communities. With your help, Alpha Phi Alpha Scholarship Fund has given out over $80,000 in scholarships over the years. We have also continued to serve Brevard County, Florida and beyond through numerous programs partnering with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. including: • Go-to-High-School, Go-to-College – A program concentrating on the importance of completing secondary and collegiate education as a road to advancement. • A Voteless People is a Hopeless People – Voter education and registration outreach activities also including political awareness and empowerment. • Project Alpha – A collaborative project designed to provide education, motivation and skill-building on issues of responsibility, relationships, teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases for young males ages 12-15 years. The Iota Beta Lambda Chapter was chartered in Brevard County, FL on November 11, 1966 and has been thriving ever since! With brothers from all over the country, we continue to uphold the aims of our fraternity: Manly Deeds, Scholarship, and Love for All Mankind. Join us throughout the year as we strive to make a positive impact in the community and in the world!
