POSITION SUMMARY The Lead Carpenter is a key member of the team that will coordinate perform carpentry, painting and flooring installs on our various projects. This role requires quality workmanship, attention to detail and a positive attitude. The Lead Carpenter will work very closely with the Project Manager to make sure every job is completed on time, professionally, and meets high quality standards. We are McKenzie Construction, we provide Painting, Framing and Flooring installation for Government office buildings and we are growing by the day. COMPENSATION / BENEFITS SUMMARY Salary Up to $75,000.00 Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance Benefits Paid in Full 401K Retirement with a Company Match Up to 5% PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES ● Install Metal Framing ● Install Drywall ● Mud and Tape Drywall ● Install Flooring both Carpet Squares and VCT ● Paint walls and trim ● Install wood wall moldings ● Communicating the project’s progress to team members and management ● Troubleshoots problems to resolution that may occur ● Maintain professional relationships with Government officials, worksite and home office team members KEY COMPETENCIES ● The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required, yet are not necessarily all-inclusive ● Detailed-oriented, quality and precision focused ● Ability to work independently and as part of the team ● Outstanding attention to detail and time management ● Excellent customer service skills ● Well-organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities ● A proactive approach to problem-solving ● Ability to thrive in an environment of change and growth EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE ● 5 years Construction Experience ● Ability to pass a background check ● Valid driver's license PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ● Ability to construction items ● Prolonged periods of standing, walking and or kneeling If this position caught your eye, we want to talk to you!
