Description
Hello. I am a singer-songwriter whose music falls generally under the umbrella of Americana. I came out with a full-length album last year (https://desertatlas.bandcamp.com/releases), which got covered by 303 Magazine (https://303magazine.com/2021/06/desert-atlas/). Was also on Indie 102.3's Local 303 last November (https://www.cpr.org/2021/11/01/the-local-303-colorado-artists-were-featuring-for-november-2021/). Recently played at Lost Lake, and have also performed at Larimer Lounge (Down in Denver Festival) and a few other places. I have a show coming up this March at The Roxy on Broadway and would love to play a bit more as it gets warmer. Anyway, it's been just me singing and on guitar, and I'd like to add layers and nuance and maybe some muscle to the music, depending on the song. But I also don't want to wrangle three or four or five other people, especially since I play maybe one or two shows a month. So getting someone on keys to start seems like a good path. If you are a multi-instrumentalist, or really good at programming + playing along with beats, even better! I'm also not big into having a lot of rehearsals, so if you can generally learn songs quickly and/or play on the fly, that would be amazing--but I know that's a big ask. I'm just south of Thornton and would prefer someone not too far away--happy to travel to central Denver, but nothing too far south. I have a tiny music room but open to using a rehearsal space. I'm 42 and not interested in touring--maybe an out-of-town show or two if the opportunity arises. So, consider listening to my stuff, and if you like what you hear, let me know: Here's the album on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/2CH3ZyiLsjNfCHZihIMt0j Some random stuff on SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/desert-atlas I probably have 30 original songs, plus a handful of covers. If you play another instrument, I'm open to that too! A small-kit drummer would be great. Brass or strings? Awesome! Thanks for reading! -Mark
