About this team The Field Operations team consists of field technicians, responsible for working closely with warehouse-based robot techs, customer support, and dispatch team to ensure in-field fleet and order quality across multiple cities. Day In a Life The Local Field Ops Specialist focuses on getting devices ready for daily operations along with take-down at the end of the day. You will maintain our robots, retrieve damaged or out-of-service robots in a timely manner, as well as help diagnose mechanical and electrical issues as they arise. The Local Field Ops Specialist works closely with the local fulfillment partner and is in constant communication with central operation teams. The person who will be successful in this role gets things done no matter what hurdles arise. They enjoy thinking about how to improve physical processes and remove bottlenecks. They also enjoy hands-on problem solving and possess exceptional communication skills. Fixing both mechanical and electrical devices is second-nature. Finally, they are a flexible thinker: ready to adapt your processes to the rapidly-changing needs of a fast-growing startup. Responsibilities Transport robots to partner location and set up in time for daily operations Ensure damaged robots are retrieved quickly, properly, and work is documented Robots are transported back to the housing location at the end of each nigh Ensure batteries are charging and robots are cosmetically sound for the next days opening shift Basic Qualifications High-school diploma or equivalent Valid Drivers license Must own a working smart phone Must be able to lift 40 or more pounds Must feel comfortable driving large cargo vehicles Preferred Qualifications Experience problem solving mechanical and/or electrical devices
