Come work with Key Largo Adventures and Aquablue Adventures, 2 of the most popular FUN BOAT CHARTERS in Islamorada. Great $$ on Sandbar, snorkel, or sightsee/sunset charters. Looking for Captains who can work a minimum of 2-3 assigned days per week for now (1 or 2 charters per assigned day), with an option to increase to full time after March 15. At least one weekend day is required PLUS peak busy periods surrounding holidays (and summer holiday dates). Details about the boats and charters are at the bottom of this ad, below. 2 positions available - Part time or Full time - Average $33/hour PLUS TIPS or average of $50,000+/year - Please do not reply unless you have this experience: LOCAL UPPER KEYS Captains ONLY - THREE YEARS with Capt. License and Snorkel Charter experience required. Clean criminal record, reliable transportation within Islamorada and communication are required. Discounted, furnished employee housing may be available for captains (one dock-side studio apt/one person/no animals/kitchenette @ $1600). All-inclusive with elect, water, internet/tv), starting May 1. PAY OUT - Depends on if Seasonal/Hourly/Freelance captain versus dedicated Year-round part-time or full-time captains. Hourly pay-out for freelance captains averages $33/hour plus tips. For dedicated, year-round captains, based on past years, estimate part time year-round part-time pay at $50,000+/year including charters and tips. Estimate more for full time work. Busy season starting March 15 thru Sept (5 days/week or more if you want). Part time Oct-Feb (2-3 days per week, up to 2 trips per day). Year-Round Package available to include year-round guaranteed base pay, plus commission for each charter, plus tips... just ask for more details, if interested in year-round pay. BONUSES for consistent, great captains. We need captains giving consistently great service (to customers and the company). Captain should be reliable, courteous, and motivated. When not booked on charters or in low-season, Captains who can also help with customers and dockside activities like cleaning, maintenance of boats on non-charter days can earn extra pay. **DETAILS OF THE JOB** Charters are 3 hours to 6 hours long. One or two trips per day. Sandbar, Sights, Snorkel, and sunset are popular customer options. 6 passengers per boat, max. Our Boats are 21 ft to 26 ft boats (3-6 hours per trip) - Maximum 2 trips per day. Make guests happy, set them up at The Islamorada Sandbar, and relax enjoy the afternoon until time to go home. We also have 3-hour sightsee, sunset, or snorkeling trips, also. Pickup is near mile marker 85, Islamorada.
