Press release from Hamilton County Recreation: February 18, 2022 Hamilton County Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce that Tennessee Riverpark will ReOpen to the public on February 28th, 2022, after hosting the Hamilton County Health Department. The Hamilton County Health Department has been using part of the Riverpark, located near the Hubert Fry Center, for Covid Testing and Vaccinations since December of 2020. The health department announced on February 11th, 2022 that they would be relocating all Covid operations to the health department's main campus located at 921 East Third St. beginning February 15th, 2022. This departure has allowed time for the parks and recreation staff to work to make this area of the park once again accessible to all visitors. The reopening of this area marks the opening of Tennessee Riverpark in its entirety for public use. The Parks and Recreation Department looks forward to continuing to provide a fun, safe place for children and adults to relax, play and exercise at Tennessee Riverpark.
