CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — The closure of city facilities to the public will be extended through April 30. Cleveland Heights parks remain open, but outdoor equipment, like playgrounds, is closed. While city facilities are closed to the public, essential services and emergency response will continue uninterrupted. Staff at Cleveland Heights City Hall and Community Center may report to answer resident questions or fulfill basic minimum maintenance. However, bulky trash pickup has been halted and residents are being asked to take their bulk items directly to the service department. The service department is at 14200 Superior Road. Dumpsters are located at the rear of the building. Additionally, Cleveland Heights parks remain open to the public. However, playgrounds, ball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts and the Cain Park skate park are closed. Cleveland Heights City Manager Tanisha Briley said residents who visit an outdoor park should still practice social distancing to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, COVID-19.
