By John Gibson, WNIN February 21, 2022 COVID-19 booster shots have topped 48,000 in Vanderburgh County. The rate of vaccinations and boosters has slowed in recent days in the Evansville area. The Indiana Department of Health added just 42 vaccinations and 19 boosters in the county on the Thursday dashboard. Boosters did top the 48,000 mark. The number of fully vaccinated residents in Vanderburgh County is slowly approaching 101,000. Officials still consider a person fully vaccinated if they've received both shots of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or the single dose Johnson and Johnson shot, regardless of boosters.
