CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — The iconic Cedar Lee Theatre is reopening Friday. "Like most Americans, I'm excited to get back to the movies," says Jon Forman, president of Cleveland Cinemas. "The magic of the movies is something that brings us together in the most trying of times. While the current crisis is on-going we know that going to the movies is an important part of our culture and we have taken steps to make our cinemas as safe as we can for our patrons and staff." Cedar Lee will be showing five new films when it begins welcoming customers again. Shows include: Train to Busan Presents: Penisula; Stage Mother; Made in Italy; Tesla; and Desert One. New health and safety protocols will also be in place for patrons, including: Social distancing markers in the lobby to ensure proper spacingTouchless purchase options at the box office and concession standCustomers should buy tickets online in advance to reduce contact pointsStaff will have their temperatures taken before clocking inStaff will be required to wear masks while workingStaff will be required to wash their hand frequentlyStaff will frequently disinfect surface areasPlexiglass dividers have been installed at registersPatrons must wear masks while in the building, unless they are eating or drinkingSeating capacity has been cut in half in all auditorium, some rows and seats will be closed to ensure social distancingShowtimes will be spaced further apart to reduce crowds and allow for more cleaning timeHand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the building We're happy to announce that we will be re-opening our doors at the historic Cedar Lee Theatre starting Friday, August...Posted by Cedar Lee Theatre on Friday, August 14, 2020
