CONCORD, CA — A man who passed a note to a teller demanding money fled the Chase Bank in downtown Concord with no money Saturday, police said. The man approached a teller at the Chase Bank on Salvio Street at Mt. Diablo Street around 10:40 a.m. with a note demanding money, according to Concord police Lt. Sam Staten. "The teller activated the alarm system and the man fled on foot. He didn't get any money," Staten said. No description of the man who attempted the robbery is available.
