CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — Another nonviolent protest is being planned in Cleveland Heights. The event is scheduled for Sunday, June 14, at the Coventry P.E.A.C.E. Park. The protest will begin at 3 p.m. Protesters will march around the neighborhood before returning to the park. The protest should conclude at 5:30 p.m., officials said. To accommodate the protest, some streets will be temporarily closed to traffic. Here are the impacted streets: Euclid Heights BoulevardBetween Coventry and SuperiorCoventry RoadFrom Euclid Heights Boulevard to MayfieldMayfield RoadFrom Coventry to SuperiorSuperior RoadFrom Mayfield back to Euclid Heights BoulevardCleveland Heights police will be present at all impacted intersections to enforce the street closures and protect marchers from through traffic. This is the second protest to be held in Cleveland Heights this month. Demonstrators gathered outside Cleveland Heights City Hall on June 3 and demanded police reform. City officials spoke during the event and promised future town halls to discuss changing police policies.
