WORCESTER, MA — State police arrested a Worcester on man Presidents' Day after he tried to break into the tiger enclosure at the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston, according to authorities. Matthew Abraham, 24, was seen trying to scale fences to enter the tiger area at the zoo around 9 a.m. Monday, police said. He was charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct, but was released pending a Tuesday court appearance in Dorchester. Police said Abraham was mentally OK, but just really likes tigers. "When questioned by a trooper as to his motive, Abraham responded only that he was very interested in tigers," state police said in a news release. Franklin Park Zoo's tigers are located in the "safari" part of the zoo, which also contains lions, camels and hogs.
