Thanks for all the responses folks! I got so many suggestions which I will keep in mind for future problems. Not one person suggested resetting the MPG readout on the dash. Turns out, I was letting the car warm up for 30-45 minutes at a time and that was screwing up the computer algorithm or something... Now my MPG is exactly where it should be without expense!
