The job being offered is a counter sales position at a Fastener distributor in Albany NY. We are a well established Albany NY family company. The position requires that you are able to speak English, use a computer sales program after being trained, and read a tape measure/slide ruler. A solid grasp of basic mathematics is required (Addition, subtraction, division, basic fractions), and warehouse/forklift experience is also a plus. The successful applicant will perform face to face sales (getting to know repeat customers over time), and will pull and prepare orders. As we are a small business you would be expected to perform general warehouse maintenance tasks as required. The average day would involve a mix of sales and order pulling/preparing. Some days require more time spent doing sales, other days will require more time spent pulling orders. We stock both very small parts as well as very large bolts, nuts, washers, threaded rod, anchor bolts etc. Any background in fasteners is a plus, but the main attribute we are looking for is a positive attitude and willingness to learn. -$18 per hour -Monthly bonuses -Very generous Annual bonus/profit sharing -Paid health insurance for the individual employee. -401K program with an annual company contribution -Life insurance -Paid time off -We try to always hire from within whenever possible, we have both inside and outside sales personnel. -All of the programs listed will vary on their start, some will start immediately and some will require employment for a period of time before being available.
