Classic Concepts is a fine home builder based in Renton for over 30 years and is seeking a full time construction carpenter/detailed laborer. Some essential duties of this position must include but not limited to: • Pick up framing, end of the house detail work, helping with customer service and punch list items as well as other miscellaneous minor items not done by subcontractors. • Prep for driveway, walks and concrete slabs. Install downspout drains and utilities, debris removal or dump runs. • Additional varied construction items might include building of wood steps and landings, fencing, landscape maintenance and drywall repair… • Construction clean up and maintaining a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards. • Inspects construction work to ensure conformity to plans & specifications and meets quality expectations. Constantly check for quality and correct installations. Basic Requirements: • Basic knowledge of building codes, reading of plans and standard construction practices is required to begin work upon hiring. Also must have at least 2 years experience in new home construction. • Proper hand tools and some power tools is expected • Following safe working practices • Self-motivated and dependable with an ability to complete tasks and lists • Willingness to learn on the job and take on new responsibilities. • Quality workmanship and a pride in their work. • Must have valid driver’s license, insurance and own reliable vehicle to get to multiple jobs in a day. • Eligible to work in the United States and ability to clearly communicate in English. • Able to follow directions and instructions from other supervisors, but also able to work independently and be a problem solver. • Willingness to work in all weather conditions and in good physical shape.
