PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES General Job Description The estimator is responsible for managing the overall estimating process. This includes: - reviewing plans, - performing site (roof) inspections - Read plans and do takeoffs - Quote material and subcontractors - Estimate jobs - ensuring that all bids are provided on time. - Complete bid forms - Assist other project managers as necessary - The estimators also sell and manage their own work. - Produce proposals - Present to clients - Manage personal sales goal - Produce jobs profitably - Network and prospect new clients WORK EXPERIENCE The qualified candidate preferred to have the following experience and attributes: • 3+ years of roofing experience. • Superior relationship building skills in both face to face and remote environments. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Experience working with Microsoft Office. A good working knowledge of Excel and Word is essential. Estimates are done in Excel. Proposals are done in Word. • Experience working on the roof a plus, not required. • A good knowledge of flat roofing systems and familiarity with warranty requirements. • Ability to solely perform complete roof inspections. • Knowledge of OSHA Safety Procedures – Specifically fall protection. • Bilingual a Plus, not required. COMPENSATION • Base Salary of $70,000 to $95,000 annually, based on experience. • Paid Company Holidays, Sick/Personal Days, etc. • Health Benefits after 60 days of employment • 401(k) matching • Two Weeks of Paid Vacation after 6 months of employment • Thorough Training Program EDUCATION/TRAINING - Desired Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. - Equivalent field experience shall consist of a minimum of three plus years of successful estimating experience as detailed above.
